Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to oversee permitting, due diligence, and project delivery across the U.S. You will manage multiple environmental projects in oil and gas, electric, and renewables, applying knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements.

Lead field surveys, coordinate with regulators and clients, develop proposals and cost estimates, mentor junior staff, and steer projects to meet budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of applicable experience in environmental permitting projects.
• Experience across multiple market sectors: electric utility, renewable, oil & gas.
• Knowledge of wetlands, endangered species, NEPA, and regulatory permitting requirements.
• Ability to lead negotiations with regulators and coordinate with agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage execution of multiple environmental projects and ensure timely, on-budget delivery.
• Lead field surveys and environmental permitting with federal, state and local agencies.
• Develop proposals, cost estimates, and client presentations to support business development.
• Mentor less experienced staff and provide leadership to project teams.
