Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Kansas City is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to lead environmental permitting and due diligence for projects across the United States, including oil and gas, electric, and renewables.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, interface with regulators and clients, develop proposals, and mentor staff while delivering on budget and schedule. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science, planning, environmental/civil engineering or cultural resources related field from an accredited program.
  • 7+ years (10 years preferred) of applicable experience managing environmental permitting projects.
  • Experience across multiple market sectors with emphasis on electric utility, renewables, and oil & gas facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage multiple environmental projects with multi-faceted components.
  • Lead consultations under the Endangered Species Act and National Historic Preservation Act and manage permit requirements with federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Develop proposals, cost estimates, client-facing presentations, and maintain relationships with clients to grow business.
