Environmental Project Manager - NEPA - Austin, TX


Halff has an opening for an Environmental / National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Project Manager in our north Austin, Texas office. The Environmental / NEPA Project Manager will be responsible for project management, including management of project budgets and schedules, client interaction, quality assurance and quality control, mentoring staff, and ensuring teamwork and project collaboration occur for successful project completion. The Environmental / NEPA Project Manager will also assist with identifying pursuits and developing proposals.


The ideal candidate will bring strong TxDOT NEPA project experience to Halff's Environmental Team that involves managing impact analyses and documentation for project compliance with NEPA and other environmental laws. Candidates should have relevant knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirements, guidelines and procedures, preferably as they may pertain to transportation, public works, water resources or other projects involving federal funding or permitting. Candidates should be able to provide support to multi-discipline teams in delivering solutions to clients. Environmental Project Manager - NEPA - Austin, TX Requirements:


  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in biology, natural resources management, environmental science, or related field; Master's Degree is a plus.

  • A minimum of 5 years of environmental studies or equivalent experience

  • Preparation of TxDOT NEPA documents, TxDOT pre-certifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience communicating with the public

  • Positive attitude, initiative, and ability to work with multi-discipline teams

  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed
