Position Summary:

Gallagher Bassett Technical Services division (GBTS) is seeking to hire a full-time Staff Professional - Project Manager to support the Environmental practice area in our southern Florida (Miami) regional office. The role involves project management, research, reporting, and field assessment activities. Candidates should have 1-3 years of full-time experience and a minimum 4-year degree in environmental science or a related field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Serve as Project Manager for Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Site Assessment Projects, Tank Closure Assessments, and Remediation Projects, including research, field investigations, sampling, report preparation, client communication, proposal development, invoicing, and collections.
2. Manage specialty projects that may require travel or advanced skills/knowledge.
3. Support other office projects as needed.
4. Prepare proposals as required.
5. Conduct field work including groundwater, surface water, and soil sampling, using various measurement instruments.

Additional Considerations:

• Must pass a medical exam for respirator use.

Qualifications – External:

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental/civil engineering, geology, or related earth sciences field, with at least 2 years of experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to survey client properties, negotiate access, climb, walk/stand for extended periods, lift over 25 pounds, and work in extreme weather conditions.
• Availability for after-hours, weekend work, and travel.
• Proficiency in college-level mathematics.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Desired:

• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Good communication skills.
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification.
• Detail-oriented. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
