Job summary

Terracon is seeking an Environmental Project Manager in North Dakota to lead due diligence, subsurface investigations, soil vapor assessments, and remedial actions for a diverse client base.

This mid-level role supports senior staff, develops client relationships, and coordinates field teams across Bismarck, Fargo, or Minot offices with a flexible working environment.

You will manage budgets, schedules, safety, and regulatory compliance while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or environmental engineering.
• OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper and current annual refresher.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geology, Engineering or Environmental Science.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
• A EIT/PE or GIT/PG or other professional certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with proposals and client inquiries; coordinate with internal teams and account managers.
• Collaborate with other service lines for cross-selling opportunities.
• Manage subsurface investigations to evaluate soil, groundwater and soil vapor.
• Manage remediation projects involving soil, groundwater and soil vapor actions.
• Develop project schedules and budgets; select equipment, staff and contractors.
• Coordinate field personnel, office staff and subcontractors to complete projects.
