Job summary

SCS Engineers is seeking an Air Quality/Environmental Compliance Project Manager to join our growing Southwest practice. Hybrid work options across California, Arizona, or Nevada, or remote, with support for the Southwest Business Unit.

You will perform technical work, manage client contacts, and ensure schedules and deliverables meet SCS quality standards. This role supports solid waste and industrial clients and may involve field meetings and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, or related science.
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience in air quality, air permitting and/or air compliance.
• Minimum of 2 years of Project Management experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Air quality permitting and compliance work supporting solid waste and industrial projects.
• Prepare permitting documentation, review data and report writing as needed.
• Engage with clients and assist in proposals as required.
• Coordinate field activities and site meetings on compliance or permitting issues.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Job description

SCS Engineers is looking for an Air Quality/Environmental Compliance Project Manager to become a long-term asset to our growing practice in the Southwest. You will complete technical work, manage contact with clients, and manage the schedule and work product performed consistent within SCS’s quality control standards. Your work will support our solid waste and industrial clients. We are open to you being hybrid in any SCS office in California, Arizona or Nevada, or even remote, but you will be supporting the Southwest Business Unit.

How you can make an impact

• Air quality permitting and compliance; greenhouse gas emissions compliance; general regulatory compliance; various permitting for solid waste and industrial facility projects.
• Technical work may include air modeling, completing calculations, reviewing compliance issues, preparing permitting documentation, reviewing data, research, and report writing as well as related services.
• Work may also include in field activities, such as field meetings on compliance or permitting-related issues.
• Client interaction and preparation of proposals will be required on an as needed basis.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

Pay Range

USD $110,000.00 – USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
