A Bit About Us

We are a purpose-driven company dedicated to addressing the most significant obstacle to a cleaner and more reliable power grid. We are committed to this mission by creating new long-haul transmission lines throughout the United States.

Why join us?

We are developing next-generation energy infrastructure to power our future, providing Americans with improved grid resiliency for our homes and businesses, and cost savings for electricity consumers.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning, management, and monitoring of environmental aspects for large, multidisciplinary transmission projects characterized by significant technical complexity and unique permitting challenges. This includes handling permit applications, site selection, layout planning, scoping and reviewing environmental studies, engaging with state and federal agencies, facilitating tribal meetings, and fostering stakeholder involvement.
  • Provide expertise in transmission line routing by offering insights into environmental sensitivities, policy and permitting requirements, and best practices for defensible linear siting.
  • Oversee third-party technical and environmental consultants by managing the scoping process, directing their efforts, and reviewing their deliverables.
  • Facilitate the timely completion of environmental compliance documentation for federal and state agencies that supports permit decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, major environmental actions governed by the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and state environmental policies, as well as compliance with various federal and state laws concerning natural and cultural resources.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, planning, ecology, environmental planning, engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working directly on environmental compliance and permitting within the energy sector. Experience in large scale linear infrastructure projects preferred, ideally with electric transmission lines and/or pipelines.
  • A proven track record of permitting support for industrial scale energy projects, with a preference for electric transmission.
  • Solid understanding of federal and state laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines relevant to the permitting of electric transmission construction and operation, including direct experience with NEPA reviews, ESA, NHPA, and other environmental laws.
  • Must be open to relocating to the Houston, TX area.
