Job summary

Tasman Inc is seeking a Project Manager to lead environmental remediation and related projects across the Permian Basin region, supporting NM and TX. You will manage client relationships, budgets, teams, and regulatory compliance to deliver safe, on-time, and within-budget outcomes.

The role requires 3+ years PM experience, strong leadership, and familiarity with SOPs and health & safety standards. Occasional travel to project sites is expected, with a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project management experience.
  • 5+ years of related industry experience.
  • Environmental consulting or remediation project management experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and client relationship management abilities.
  • Familiarity with SOPs, project execution requirements, and health & safety regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an environmental, science, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Project & client management: manage multiple remediation and construction projects from initiation through completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
  • Support existing projects while identifying, scoping, and costing new opportunities.
  • Execute projects within regulatory frameworks, SOPs, budgets, and schedules.
  • Prepare and submit project deliverables to regulatory agencies and clients.
  • Build and manage project teams to meet requirements.
  • Coordinate with Tasman technical groups for expertise.
  • Collaborate with Tasman Construction for project execution.
  • Hire, train, and mentor project personnel.
  • Foster continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Track budgets, accruals, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Review and submit invoices and financial documentation.
  • Monitor performance against budget and schedule targets.
  • Support operational and financial decision-making through reporting.
  • Safety & regulatory compliance: attend client safety meetings; ensure adherence to health & safety requirements; monitor regulatory changes; communicate updates; promote safety culture.

Pay: $80,000 – $105,000 per year

Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: Permian Basin Region (supporting New Mexico and Texas projects)

Travel: Occasional regional travel to project and client sites

Reports To: Program Leadership / Management

The Role

The Project Manager supports Tasman’s Engineering & Consulting group by providing full client and project management for environmental remediation and related projects throughout the Permian Basin Region. This role manages multiple active projects for established clients while helping identify, develop, and secure future project opportunities.

The ideal candidate is a safety-focused leader who can effectively manage client relationships, project teams, budgets, and regulatory requirements while delivering exceptional results. Working closely with technical experts, construction partners, and client representatives, the Project Manager ensures projects are executed safely, compliantly, on schedule, and within budget.

What You’ll Be Doing

Project & Client Management

  • Manage multiple remediation and construction projects from initiation through completion
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
  • Support existing projects while proactively identifying, scoping, and costing new opportunities
  • Execute projects within established regulatory frameworks, SOPs, budgets, and schedules
  • Prepare and submit project deliverables to regulatory agencies and clients
  • Build and manage dedicated project teams to meet project and client requirements
  • Coordinate with Tasman technical resource groups to secure expertise and project support
  • Collaborate closely with Tasman Construction teams for construction-focused project execution
  • Hire, train, mentor, and manage project personnel as needed
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
  • Track project budgets, accruals, and cash flow forecasts
  • Review and submit invoices and project financial documentation
  • Monitor project performance against budget and schedule targets
  • Support operational and financial decision-making through project reporting

Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Attend client-sponsored safety meetings
  • Ensure project teams comply with client and Tasman health and safety requirements
  • Monitor changes in client procedures, regulatory requirements, and training expectations
  • Communicate updates and requirements to project personnel
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all projects

What You Bring

Required

  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • 5+ years of related industry experience
  • Environmental consulting or remediation project management experience preferred within the required experience
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and client relationship management abilities
  • Familiarity with field equipment and material management
  • Strong understanding of SOPs, project execution requirements, and health & safety regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree in an environmental, science, or related field

Preferred

  • Experience working with environmental regulations in New Mexico and Texas
  • Experience supporting projects in the Permian Basin region

This position operates primarily in a professional office environment with periodic field responsibilities.

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Occasional overtime based on project demands

Required Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of related industry experience
  • Proven environmental, remediation, construction, or project management background
