Job summary

Qualifications

Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for managing environmental site assessments, remediation activities, redevelopment efforts, and incentives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, client expectations, and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of Brownfield redevelopment projects, including site assessment, remediation, design, and construction.
  • Advise clients and municipalities on redevelopment incentives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including EPA, CERCLA, and state Brownfield programs.
  • Collaborate with public and private stakeholders, including developers, local governments, community groups, and environmental consultants.
  • Lead and support the development of project proposals.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, track costs, and monitor schedules to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Define project tasks, schedules, and resource requirements.
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Establish project goals and assist with achieving QA/QC objectives.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients regarding project progress.
  • Prepare client billing information and manage collections.
  • Identify additional scope and revenue opportunities, participating in business development.
  • Mentor PEA Group staff and build strong client relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of project management experience, with redevelopment incentives experience preferred.
  • At least 10 years of Brownfield redevelopment and/or environmental remediation experience.

Physical Demands

Work is mostly in office settings, with some outdoor inspections. Must be able to lift objects up to 25 pounds and perform physical activities as described.

Availability

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with overtime as required.

Travel

Local travel to job sites as needed during business hours.
