NorthStar Environmental Testing, LLC (NorthStar) is seeking a motivated Environmental Project Field Inspector to join our Wisconsin team. This full-time, on-site role involves testing for asbestos, lead-based paint, and mold, with field travel and hands-on inspection.

You will document samples, produce reports, and work with clients to support environmental assessments while adhering to regulations. Training is available and advancement opportunities are strong.

Competenze

• Continued education/post High School degree preferred.
• Building construction experience or remediation/restoration experience.
• Strong written and verbal skills; proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD, and Adobe.

NorthStar Environmental Testing, LLC (NorthStar) is looking for a motivated Environmental Project Field Inspector with construction & computer knowledge to join our team throughout WI. This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on in the field, playing a critical role in protecting the environment and communities around us.

About the Role

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Environmental Inspector, based in Wisconsin. The Inspector will support the assessment of environmental hazards, such as asbestos, lead-based paint, and mold. Responsibilities include traveling to and conducting environmental testing in the field, as well as documenting samples and results, and producing professional reports with findings and recommendations. This role requires accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and effective communication with team members and clients.

Primary Responsibilities

Environmental site assessment to include field investigations for asbestos materials, lead-based paint, or mold depending on client needs. Sample collection and report preparation. Comfort with working independently and on construction sites. Ability to record field observations in a formal report. Ability to multi-task and work on numerous projects of various sizes and scope at once.

Qualifications

Willing to train the right candidate; however, the ideal candidate possesses:

• Continued education/post High School degree
• Building construction experience or remediation/restoration experience
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Comfortable operating a computer and use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), CAD, and Adobe
• Reliable transportation

Other qualifications we're looking for

• Knowledge of Environmental Services, including asbestos, mold, lead-based paint evaluation, and regulatory compliance
• Experience in Remediation processes, including hands-on removal and mitigation of environmental hazards
• Strong Communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and interact with clients
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in environmental settings
• Prior experience or certifications in environmental technology, remediation or related fields is a plus
• HUGE plus if you are already a certified Lead Risk Assessor!

While this listing is for the Central WI area, please note we have locations all over the state - including the Fox Cities, Milwaukee, Madison, Sheboygan, La Crosse... and we are growing everywhere! This position is not location-dependent, as long as you are near one of our offices and willing to travel for your role.
