Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the biological, physical, or environmental sciences, engineering, or in a field closely related to environmental protection or regulation; and five years of professional environmental protection experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• This position requires possession of a valid driver's license.
• You must possess and maintain a REAL ID or passport for this position.
• You must meet the PA residency requirement.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Staff Communication: Ensure staff stay informed about policies, initiatives, and guidance that support effective work
• Program Coordination: Work with multiple offices to maintain consistency in waterways, wetlands, and agricultural programs
• Compliance Oversight: Guide staff as they conduct inspections, investigations, and enforcement activities across assigned programs
• Data Management: Use and ensure staff use DEP databases to record information accurately and promptly
• Public Interaction: Provide information to officials, regulated entities, and community groups as needed
• Supervisory Leadership: Assign tasks, review work, handle personnel matters, and support professional development for staff
