State of Alaska is recruiting for a section program manager in Anchorage/Wasilla/Fairbanks/Juneau to oversee stormwater and wetlands activities within the Wastewater Discharge Authorization Program. Pay will be determined based on location of selected individual.

Anchorage, Soldotna, Wasilla salary: $3,870.40

Fairbanks salary: $3,986.40

Juneau salary: $4,064.00

What You Will Be Doing

This position is the section program manager for the Stormwater & Wetlands Section in the Wastewater Discharge Authorization Program. The position has statewide responsibilities for preventing pollution from storm water discharges and wetlands fill activities through permitting, regulatory compliance, stormwater controls, and education.

The Working Environment You Can Expect

The physical work location of this position will depend on the successful applicant, and will be in either Anchorage, Juneau, Fairbanks, Wasilla, or Soldotna. There will also be telework options available to those that qualify. The work environment is friendly, professional, and collaborative with regular interaction with colleagues in the program, other programs within DEC, and with the general public. This position works with dedicated staff to develop, issue and manage wastewater discharge permits statewide.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in an environmental, physical, biological, or natural science; engineering; planning; or natural resources.
