Environmental Practice Lead - Site Investigation and Remediation

Job Overview

WSP is seeking a dynamic Environmental Practice Lead to lead and expand our site investigation and remediation practice in the Pacific Northwest, including locations such as Redmond, WA, Seattle, WA, Tacoma, WA, Vancouver, WA, Boise, ID, and Portland, OR. This role involves driving client development, managing complex projects, and mentoring teams. The ideal candidate will have a passion for environmental challenges, business growth, and team leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and prepare proposals.
  • Lead strategic planning and regional implementation efforts.
  • Manage and oversee complex technical projects, ensuring quality, scope, budget, and schedule adherence.
  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and lead staff, supporting recruitment and professional development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrology, environmental, civil, or chemical engineering.
  • Professional registration in WA, OR, ID (e.g., P.E., P.G.) or willingness to obtain.
  • Minimum 12 years of environmental consulting experience.
  • Proven success in client management and project delivery.
  • Leadership experience managing teams and complex projects.
  • Knowledge of soil and groundwater remediation regulations.
  • Ability to travel regionally and occasionally outside.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in related fields.
  • Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
