Job summary

Terracon is seeking an experienced Environmental Planning project manager to lead projects in California from initiation through completion. You will define scope, schedule, and budget with clients, develop and implement project plans, and manage safety practices across the team.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and technical writing skills, with the ability to coordinate with APRs, external vendors, and internal departments while maintaining quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology; 5+ years’ related experience (or 9+ if no degree).
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of an Environmental Planning project.
• Define project scope, schedule and budget with client or National Account Manager.
• Design, communicate, and implement a project plan.
• Lead safety efforts and enforce safety plan compliance.
• Resolve operational problems to minimize delays.
• Coordinate resources, including schedules, budgets, and external contractors.
• Prepare reports and communicate project status to team and client.
• Coordinate with APR to ensure appropriate oversight.
