Qualifications

• 8-10 years experience in environmental planning with a transportation focus.
• Project leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Environmental Science, Biological or Natural Science is desired.
• Experience reviewing engineer plans for environmental compliance.
• Strong knowledge of CDOT NEPA procedures or related experience.
• Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and ESRI ArcGIS.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
• Self-motivated with leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
• Collaborative approach with multidisciplinary teams, clients, agencies, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support transportation and water resources projects through environmental analysis and permitting.
• Prepare NEPA and other environmental compliance documents.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders for approvals.
• Lead environmental tasks, coordinate projects, and review deliverables.
• Facilitate meetings, organize agendas, minutes, and presentation materials.
• Assist in business development opportunities and proposal preparation.
• Deliver high-quality planning studies on time and within budget.
• Mentor junior staff and support hiring as backlog grows.
