Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Colorado Springs is seeking a recent graduate to join as an Environmental Planning Analyst in 2027. This is not a remote position.

You will help prepare EQA documents, environmental reports, and support master plans and policy documents for infill and land development projects. Expect exposure to NEPA, LEED, and climate action planning while collaborating with multiple project managers.

Qualifications

• Degree in planning or related field by Summer 2027.
• Strong background in environmental planning or policy.
• Interest in NEPA, sustainability and climate action planning.

Overview

Kimley-Horn's Colorado Springs, Colorado (CO) office is seeking a recent grad to join as an Environmental Planning Analyst in 2027! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare Environmental Quality Act documents, environmental impact reports, and negative and mitigated negative declarations


• Assist in Specific Plans, Master Plans, and other environmental or planning policy documents in support of a full range of infill and/or land development related projects


• Support various project managers and collaborating with team members.


• Will likely gain expertise in: NEPA, sustainability, climate action planning, ENVISION, LEED, and Salmon-Safe


• Environmental clearance associated with local comprehensive plans/local land use planning


• Working with infrastructure projects from across industries such as transportation, transit, land planning, aviation

Qualifications

• A Planning Degree (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited program by Summer of 2027 in these majors:

Salary Range:

• $80,000.00 - $83,000.00


• Eligible for performance based bonuses
