Job summary

Cardinal Point Captains, Inc. is seeking a full-time position in Honolulu, HI to support natural resources planning for NOAA PIR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) from an accredited college or university in conservation biology, environmental sciences, geography, environmental planning, physical or marine biological sciences, social sciences, or other related fields.
• 3-5 years’ experience supporting natural resources planning efforts, including writing evaluation documents and supporting development of management plans.
• Experience working with multiple agencies and communicating complex ideas to managers and staff.
• Knowledge of project tracking, evaluation and monitoring techniques and tools.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of site evaluation strategy and other site management plans.
• Implement and test evaluation strategy methods.
• Coordinate with partner agencies on metrics collection and analysis.
• Assist in Sanctuary Management Plan tracking tool updates.
• Contribute to annual Sanctuary Management Plan implementation reviews and five-year Sanctuary Status Report.
