Job summary

LaBella Associates in New York seeks a mid-level Environmental and Permitting Manager to lead environmental and permitting efforts for utility projects. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, interact with regulatory agencies, attend boards, and manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of permitting experience, preference for municipal approvals, and BS in Environmental Science or related field (MS preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field.
• 3–5 years of permitting experience (utility, renewables, urban planning, municipal, environmental).
• Experience with municipal approvals preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental and permitting efforts for utility projects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and agencies.
• Prepare permit applications and attend municipal Board meetings.
• Manage multiple complex projects and maintain schedules.
• Provide QA/QC for deliverables and supervise junior staff.
