Job summary

Micron Technology in the United States seeks an Environmental Engineer to support regulatory permits, compliance, and field inspections at active construction sites. You will work with cross-functional teams to manage environmental risks and implement programs across our operations.

You will collaborate with engineering, facilities, legal, sustainability and EHS to drive continuous improvement, SWPPP, stormwater, and safety initiatives. Competitive base pay and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in environmental permitting or compliance.
• Familiarity with Clean Water Act, SPDES, NEPA/SEQR concepts.
• Willingness to work at active construction sites and collaborate across teams.
• Interest in Agentic AI to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Support permits, renewals, modifications and agency submissions.
• Ensure compliance for wetlands, stormwater, air, wastewater and hazardous waste.
• Conduct field inspections and lead corrective actions with contractors.
• Lead SWPPP implementation and erosion/sediment control activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, facilities, legal, sustainability and EHS.
• Support incident investigations and ISO 14001 programs.
