Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services is hiring a part-time Laboratory Technician to perform environmental and utilities monitoring at client facilities. The role involves sample collection, transport between sites, basic microbial analyses, plate inspection, and data entry into LIMS following GDP.

The position supports a Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm schedule with potential overtime or flexible hours. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match,

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in microbiology or related field required.
• High school diploma with GMP environmental monitoring/microbiology experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples for Environmental monitoring (EM) and utilities monitoring (UM) at client facilities.
• Transport samples, supplies, and equipment between the Eurofins laboratory site and client sites.
• Perform laboratory analyses including Bioburden, Endotoxin, TOC, conductivity, pH.
• Inspect agar plates for microbial growth.
• Enter data into LIMS or controlled forms following GDP.

Job Description

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for general environmental monitoring testing following written procedures and the execution of written protocols with limited supervision.

• Collects samples for Environmental monitoring (EM) and utilities monitoring (UM) at client facilities
• Transports samples, supplies, and equipment between the Eurofins laboratory site and client sites
• Perform laboratory analyses including (but not limited to) Bioburden, Endotoxin, Total organic carbon (TOC), conductivity, pH
• Performs visual inspection of agar plates for microbial growth
• Data entry into LIMS or controlled forms using good documentation practices (GDP)

Qualifications

• At least an Associate's degree in microbiology or other relevant subject.
  • High school diploma with previous GMP environmental monitoring/microbiology work experience would be considered
• Strong aseptic technique
• Ability to be on your feet for 4+ hours at a time
• Ability to lift or move 20lbs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
• Proactive, self-starter with problem solving and multitasking skills
