Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Monitoring Technician III to support environmental monitoring in cleanroom and controlled environments in Concord, CA.

This field-based role involves traveling to client facilities to collect samples and operate sampling equipment in accordance with GMP and SOPs. The ideal candidate will have 4–7 years of lab-related experience, an Associate degree, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent two-year college diploma.
• Approximately 4–7 years of laboratory-related or sample analysis experience.
• Ability to work in cleanroom environments and follow established procedures and documentation practices.
• Familiarity with GMP requirements and laboratory quality standards.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly to a variety of audiences.
• Experience training, coaching, or mentoring colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing changing priorities.
• Basic understanding of laboratory workflow, cost control, and continuous improvement principles, including 5S and SQDC.

Responsibilities

• Collect environmental samples in cleanroom environments, including viable and nonviable particulate, surface, gas, and water samples.
• Operate appropriate sampling equipment to collect samples and perform testing in accordance with established SOPs, client protocols, and approved methods.
• Prepare supplies, materials, and equipment needed for sampling and testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with GMP requirements, safety procedures, and established quality standards.
• Travel to client facilities to conduct environmental monitoring and sample collection.
• Train, mentor, and coach junior team members, providing clear instructions and delegating tasks as appropriate.
• Participate in audits and support ongoing quality and compliance initiatives.
• Review, revise, and draft SOPs as needed.
• Contribute to laboratory organization, workflow efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
