Job summary

Summary

Performs assigned duties involved in the storing, transportation and disposal of hazardous materials, and, in addition, performs any of the duties of Stock Handler.

Job Responsibilities
  • Follow-up inventory of material in storeroom, in other storage locations and on trucks; observe and make reports on condition of storeroom, other storage and work areas, apparatus, and equipment.

  • Perform other similar or less skilled work of the storeroom occupational groups.
Job Qualifications

Must meet the Company's "General Requirements"; must have all of the qualifications of Stock Handler, and, in addition:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • At least two years' experience as Stock Handler, Miscellaneous Mechanic, or the equivalent.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Thorough working knowledge of established procedures related to the handling of hazardous materials.
  • Good working knowledge of the use of all materials, tools and equipment normally required to perform this work.
  • Working knowledge of the application of hoists, tackle and equipment ordinarily used in this position.
  • Able to prepare accurate and concise reports required in connection with the storing, transportation and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and to make informed decisions related to the handling of the work.
  • Proficient in the application of approved methods of artificial respiration.
  • Possess and maintaina valid U.S.driver's license with a safe and satisfactory driving record.
