BAE Systems in Radford, Virginia is seeking an Environmental Manager to lead and own the site's environmental program. You will report to the Safety, Health, & Environmental Director and manage a team of five engineers across air, waste, and water compliance.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in a relevant field, eight years of experience, and strong regulatory knowledge, with certifications in ISO 14001 lead auditing or hazardous materials management preferred.

Qualificações

• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, or Chemistry and eight years related work experience, or the overall equivalent;
• Management experience to successfully lead and nurture a team;
• Highly effective communication skills - verbal, written, presentation - to be able to share information to all levels of the facility;
• Versed in applicable Federal, State and Local Environmental regulations and standards;
• Knowledgeable in ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems, including experience in auditing of requirements.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, or Chemistry and eight years related work experience, or the overall equivalent;
• Management experience to successfully lead and nurture a team;
• Highly effective communication skills - verbal, written, presentation - to be able to share information to all levels of the facility;
• Computer skills to include ability to work with industry-specific software/databases/sites;
• Versed in applicable Federal, State and Local Environmental regulations and standards;
• Knowledgeable in ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems, including experience in auditing of requirements.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Certified Hazardous Materials Management;
• Certified ISO 14001 Lead Auditor;
• High degree of proficiency in MS Excel for data compilation/manipulation/analytics;
• Lean/Continuous Improvement experience;
• Experience working in a chemical manufacturing plant.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $120874 - $205486
