Job summary

Shirley Parsons is seeking an Environmental Manager for the greater Los Angeles area to oversee environmental compliance across multiple facilities. The role collaborates with local leadership and the corporate EHS team to ensure Title V and other regulatory requirements are met.

The incumbent will develop and enhance EHS programs, lead audits and incident investigations, and drive a culture of continual improvement in environmental health and safety practices across the sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment focusing on environmental compliance.
• Knowledge of OSHA and federal, state, local regulatory standards.
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.

Job description

A national aerospace manufacturer is seeking a multi-site Environmental Manager to manage environmental compliance needs across their facilities in the greater Los Angeles area. Working closely with the local leadership teams and the corporate EHS team, the incumbent will be responsible for all environmental compliance requirements, including Title V, and assist with other EHS programs.

The Role:

• Develop, manage, and implement appropriate EHS programs and procedures in accordance with federal, state, local, and corporate requirements.
• Lead continual improvement of the EHS culture, manage OSHA training, and ensure compliance with various environmental permits.
• Complete audits and ongoing site visits to identify and address regulatory, permit, and compliance issues.
• Participate in detailed incident investigation teams to determine root causes and corrective and preventive actions.

The Candidate:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related degree preferred.
• 7+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, primarily focused with environmental compliance needs.
• Knowledge of OSHA, and other federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
• Strong communication skills, and ability to engage with employees at all levels.
