Qualifications

• 5–10 years of environmental compliance experience within a heavy manufacturing setting.
• Minimum of 2+ years of direct experience managing a team of environmental professionals.
• Strong proficiency and experience with Title V compliance and permitting.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership capabilities.
• Work Authorization: legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to take ownership of all environmental programs and compliance strategies at one of our premier Texas heavy manufacturing operations.

Position Summary

The Environmental Manager will have single-site accountability for the facility’s entire environmental footprint. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while leading, coaching, and developing a dedicated team of environmental professionals. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in heavy manufacturing compliance and a proven track record of successful regulatory agency interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Ownership: Manage and maintain single-site responsibility for all environmental programs, media, and initiatives.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of direct reports and support staff to foster professional growth and high performance.
• Regulatory Compliance: Oversee compliance requirements across air, water, and waste programs, with a heavy emphasis on Title V Air permits.
• Agency Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison for regulatory agencies, managing all audits, inspections, permit applications, and negotiations.
• Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with the EHS Director, plant leadership, and operations teams to integrate proactive environmental management systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 5–10 years of environmental compliance experience specifically within a heavy manufacturing setting.
• Leadership: Minimum of 2+ years of direct experience managing, coaching, and leading a team of environmental professionals.
• Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency and direct experience with Title V compliance and permitting.
• Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership capabilities; ability to effectively interface with both internal plant teams and external agency officials.
• Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
