Job summary

Alpha Executive Search seeks a Complex Environmental Manager to lead compliance across processing, feed mill, and live production facilities in a large, multi-site agricultural and food manufacturing operation.

You will partner with operations leadership, manage environmental risk, drive continuous improvement, and serve as the organization’s environmental subject matter expert.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance across multiple facilities.
• Manage permits, reporting, inspections, audits, compliance systems, and corrective actions.
• Analyze environmental performance to reduce risk and improve compliance.
• Partner with operations leadership to resolve issues and strengthen performance.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, spill response, remediation, and CAPA.
• Provide environmental training and liaison with regulatory agencies.
• Manage environmental contractors and consultants.
• Monitor regulatory changes and translate requirements into operational improvements.
• Support wastewater compliance and environmental preventive maintenance programs.

Are you an experienced environmental professional ready to make an impact across a large, multi-site agricultural and food manufacturing operation?

We’re seeking a Complex Environmental Manager to lead environmental compliance across processing, feed mill, and live production facilities. You’ll partner closely with operations leadership, manage environmental risk, drive continuous improvement, and serve as the organization’s environmental subject matter expert.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead environmental compliance across multiple facilities, including CAA, CWA, CERCLA, RCRA, OPA, SDWA, and applicable state/local regulations.
• Manage permits, reporting, inspections, audits, compliance systems, and corrective action plans.
• Analyze environmental performance and identify opportunities to reduce risk and improve compliance.
• Partner with operations leadership to resolve compliance issues and strengthen environmental performance.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, spill response, remediation, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Provide environmental training and serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies.
• Manage environmental contractors and consultants.
• Monitor regulatory changes and translate requirements into practical operational improvements.
• Support wastewater compliance and environmental preventive maintenance programs.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 5+ years of environmental compliance/management experience, in manufacturing, food processing, agriculture, or a similar industrial environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Natural Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Management, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, reporting, audits, and compliance programs.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and environmental compliance systems; SAP experience a plus.
