Job summary

BMW Manufacturing Company in Spartanburg, United States, seeks an Environmental Management Intern for Spring 2027 to support the Environmental Management team with EMS improvements, data collection, and sustainability projects. Qualifications

• Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering degree required.
• Experience with advanced Excel functions preferred (e.g., VLOOKUP, macros).
• Basic knowledge of US federal environmental regulations (CAA, CWA, RCRA).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in teams and cross-functional environments.
• Experience with environmental compliance reporting to US EPA and SC DES is a plus.
• Must attach unofficial transcript and be eligible for on-site work (40 hours/week).
• Substance abuse test required before work term.

Responsibilities

• Support Environmental Management team in improving the EMS and compliance reporting.
• Assist with data collection, analysis, and calculations for environmental reports.
• Assist with EMS topics, documentation, audits, and continual improvement.
• Participate in environmental audits/inspections and input audit data.
• Manage data in Environmental Compliance Reporting software.
• Coordinate development of environmental training courses and dashboards.
