AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. seeks a Litigation Counsel, Environmental, to oversee complex professional liability claims at the excess level. You will manage claims, provide advice to insureds and defense counsel, and coordinate with reinsurers.

Requirements include 5–8 years of legal/claims experience, an ABA law degree and bar admission, and strong negotiation skills. Environmental experience is a plus; hybrid work schedule and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5–8 years in legal or insurance claims field.
• ABA-accredited law degree and bar admission required.
• Experience with coverage analysis, litigation procedures, and large/complex claims negotiations.
• Environmental claims experience and professional insurance certifications are a plus.
• General knowledge of energy industry is a plus; proficient with MS Office.

Aufgaben

• Oversee an inventory of complex claims and provide advice to insureds and defense counsel.
• Perform timely coverage analysis and communicate positions to stakeholders.
• Evaluate liability and damages and establish reserves as needed.
• Participate in settlements and negotiate favorable outcomes.
• Collaborate with claims management, reinsurers, and management as required.
• Assist in policy development and maintain relationships with insureds and brokers.
