Insight Environmental is seeking an Environmental Technician in Borger, TX for a full-time role. The position focuses on assisting clients in meeting environmental compliance by inspecting sites with LDAR capabilities and data collection, complying with safety standards.

Role includes LDAR inspections, monitoring, reporting, and occasional travel to other sites. Candidates with related experience or willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required, associates/bachelors preferred.
• Familiarity with environmental compliance requirements of 40 CFR Part 60 helps.
• Experience reading P&IDs is a plus.
• Strong Excel/Word skills and data handling.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental compliance inspections at an oil refinery using air monitoring equipment and data collectors.
• Supervise and perform environmental inspection, monitoring and testing.
• Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) inspections using a flame ionization detector (FID).
• Manage environmental database (LeakDAS).
• Maintain LDAR component and piping/instrument diagram records.

Role

As an Environmental Technician, you will assist clients in meeting compliance standards by inspecting and monitoring their sites while maintaining high levels of safety and integrity. Experience is not required, but related experience is a plus.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform environmental compliance inspections at an oil refinery using air monitoring equipment, and data collectors.
• Supervise and perform environmental inspection, monitoring and testing;
• Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) inspections using a flame ionization detector (FID);
• Manage environmental database (LeakDAS);
• Maintain identification of LDAR components and piping and instrument diagrams;
• Maintain record keeping on monitoring
• Generate maintenance work orders
• Prepare and submit periodic reports.
• Perform optical gas imaging inspections
• Participate in weekly compliance and safety meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Experience and Skills:

• High School Diploma - Associates or Bachelors degree preferred;
• Ability to acquire quickly knowledge of the environmental compliance requirements of 40 CFR Part 60 and State rules related to LDAR;
• Experience reading P&IDs;
• Experience troubleshooting instrumentation;
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with peers, managers, and customers;
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel;
• Ability to learn various environmental databases;
• Must be able to work at heights up to 200 ft;
• Must be comfortable working outdoors during all weather conditions
• Must be able to work in pipe racks and climb towers;
• Must be able to carry backpack with tools and equipment (50lbs)
• Basic mechanical skills; and
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to other company offices and job sites.

Job Type: Full-time - 40 hours a week with minimal overtime.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
