Job summary

Miller Canfield seeks a talented attorney with 3–6 years of experience to join our Energy and Environmental practice in Lansing or Grand Rapids. The ideal candidate will handle regulatory actions and environmental enforcement matters, with a background in energy, utilities, and air quality regulations.

Required: JD from an accredited law school and admission or eligibility to practice in Michigan; federal or state government experience is welcomed. Environmental litigation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental litigation (CERCLA cost recovery, toxic tort, etc.).
• Interest in energy rate work and air quality regulations.
• Background in engineering, geology, or related scientific field.

Responsibilities

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice or eligible for admission in Michigan.
• 3–6 years of experience in environmental law, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations including CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act.
