Job Summary:

SPL is growing and is currently looking for a Organics Analyst in Kilgore, TX. The Organics Analyst must be proactive, team oriented and goal driven. The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for performing gas chromatographic analysis and/or HPLC using commercially available gas chromatographic instrumentation in accordance with prescribed methods and standard operating procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct sample prep, testing, and data analysis using GC, HPLC, and GCMS;
• Operate and learn lab software (e.g., ChemStation, Target, LIMS);
• Assist in data review and reporting;
• Support SOP creation and updates;
• Perform routine equipment upkeep and basic troubleshooting;
• Accurately log maintenance, calibration, and inspection records;
• Help identify and resolve analytical issues;
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior experience with Agilent instrumentation, EPA methods (using GC, GC-MS, and/or HPLC), and routine to complex analytical techniques highly preferred;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PC use;
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed;
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details.

Education:

High school diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Travel Requirements:

This position does not require travel.

Work Schedule:

This position will work 8 hours, Monday-Friday in the Kilgore, TX Office. This position is subject to overtime availability to meet deadlines.
