Job summary

Pace Labs in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Lab Technician to join our environmental testing laboratory and to work in the sample preparation department. You’ll receive training to grow into a full laboratory sciences career at Pace Labs.

Responsibilities include preparing water and soil samples prior to analysis, following established procedures, handling solvents and chemicals, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a lab or office setting, remain standing for long periods while conducting tests, work around strong smells, and wear personal protective equipment (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves) — provided by Pace.
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare water and soil samples prior to analysis.
• Follow a variety of established sample preparation procedures.
• Work with solvents and chemicals for sample preparation.
• Maintain and update appropriate documentation and databases.
