Job summary

California Water Service Group’s Environmental Laboratory seeks a Laboratory Supervisor in Commerce, CA to lead technicians in chemical and bacteriological analyses of water and supervise QA/QC programs. You will coordinate sampling, ensure regulatory compliance under ELAP and TNI standards, and drive safety and process improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in chemistry, microbiology, or biology, 5+ years in water quality, and ELAP/TNI lab experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology and/or equivalent relevant experience.
Five years of experience working in water quality compliance.
Three years of experience working in an ELAP certified laboratory.
Two years of experience working in a TNI certified laboratory.

Responsibilities

Supervise laboratory technicians performing chemical and bacteriological analyses of water.
Coordinate sample logistics, testing, and tracking to ensure regulatory compliance.
Manage monthly monitoring schedules and QA/QC processes across the lab.
Direct staff training, performance reviews and safety compliance.
Assist with safety, waste handling, and data review in-house and for contract labs.
