Job summary

Pace® Analytical Services in Bakersfield, CA, is seeking a Scientist to join our environmental testing laboratory. In this role you will conduct hands-on analysis of air, water, and soil samples using established methods to ensure data quality that informs environmental decisions.

A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field is required, and Pace® provides training. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:30 AM–5 PM, and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM related degrees required.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods and wearing PPE.

Responsibilities

• Work with instruments to analyze air, water, and soil samples using established scientific methods.
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality laboratory records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
