Job summary

Pace Analytical Services is seeking a full-time, onsite Manager in Peoria, IL. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional weekends. Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000 per year. The salary reflects experience and internal equity, and may vary by location.

You will lead lab, services and field programs, supervise staff, oversee budgets, ensure compliance with federal and state standards, and drive data quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, environmental science, or closely related field.
• AND five (5) years of experience, typically has experience as a lead or supervisor; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Three (3) years of supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage development and implementation of lab, services and field programs and policies; validate and audit results, schedule services, resolve service and customer problems.
• Hire, train, develop and engage staff; evaluate performance and provide compensation recommendations.
• Oversee schedules, services, results and related programs to achieve desired operational results; allocate leadership and resources accordingly.
• Provide input on strategies and programs to manage lab, services or field areas; align with function goals.
• Oversee operational, instrumentation and equipment reviews; ensure compliance with federal, state and local standards and policies.
• Offer observations and recommendations to leadership for policy and practice improvements.
• Manage expectations of leaders and staff; facilitate communication on customer needs and business requirements.
