Job summary

SPL is seeking an experienced Customer Service Supervisor to lead client support operations at our environmental laboratory in Conroe, TX. You will build and coach a high-performing team, optimize workflows, and coordinate with field teams, lab operations, and internal departments to deliver excellent service.

The role emphasizes client relationship management, issue resolution, compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements, and a focus on continuous improvement in a fast-paced lab

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in science, business, or related field.
• 5+ years of customer service or project coordination in technical, laboratory, or service environments.
• 2+ years supervising or leading customer service teams.
• Knowledge of laboratory operations, chain-of-custody, and quality systems preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and client service systems (LIMS, CRM).
• Strong problem-solving and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop client services staff.
• Oversee daily client service activities ensuring inquiries and deliverables on schedule.
• Serve as primary client contact and advise on service options and compliance.
• Coordinate field activities and scheduling.
• Monitor workflow, review quotes, invoices, and documentation for accuracy.
• Ensure SOP/regulatory compliance and quality-system adherence.
• Support system implementations and use of tools to enhance client service.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and staffing.
