Job summary

COPAL is seeking an EJ Community Advocate to connect community members with environmental decision-making processes in Minnesota. This full-time role requires building relationships with Latine, immigrant, BIPOC, and historically underserved communities to advance environmental justice initiatives.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree and have at least 2 years of relevant experience, along with strong advocacy skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in community advocacy or a related field.
• Strong commitment to environmental justice and community voice.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with underserved communities for environmental advocacy.
• Support community participation in environmental decision-making.
• Facilitate capacity-building workshops and community conversations.
• Translate complex policies into accessible information.
• Coordinate initiatives related to Green Jobs & Workforce Justice.
