Langan Engineering & Environmental Services in Orlando, FL seeks an Environmental Intern/Co-op to assist with environmental aspects of land development projects. You will support field activities, data collection, and preliminary analyses under environmental leadership, with exposure to feasibility studies, reports, and design considerations.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an Environmental Engineering/Science/Geology degree, maintain a 3.0+ GPA, and can work both independently and in a team.

Formación

• Pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Strong analytical and judgment capabilities; detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Travel may be required based on business needs.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with planning and execution of field investigations by logging borings, collecting samples, performing field tests and recording data.
• Monitor construction projects by performing tests to evaluate contractor compliance with specifications.
• Identify solutions to field and laboratory problems and document results.
• Prepare reports documenting field investigations and analytical results.
• Prepare logs and field forms (drilling logs, dailies, chain of custody).
• Learn data management and modeling tools for environmental media and engineering analyses.
• Conduct site reconnaissance and prepare reports.
• Prepare laboratory data summary tables and figures.
• Use reports, maps, drawings, and photos to assess soil, hydrology, topography, and geology for project planning.
• Perform other duties as requested.
