Job summary

HDR, Inc. invites enrolled environmental science and related program students to join our Environmental Intern role in Washington state.

You’ll gain real-world experience on environmental compliance, natural resources, and permitting/planning projects across water, transportation, and power infrastructure, with projects in the Pacific Northwest. You’ll work alongside industry experts under mentoring programs, contribute to projects in water and power sectors, and develop skills in Microsoft

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate environmental science, biology, environmental engineering or related program.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Offer real-world experience on exciting projects.
  • Connect with recent graduates and leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs.
  • Work on environmental compliance, natural resources, and permitting/planning projects in Washington State and the Pacific Northwest.

In the role of Environmental Intern, we'll count on you to:
  • Offer real-world experience on exciting projects
  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
  • Work on a wide variety of environmental compliance, natural resources, and permitting/planning projects for a range of water, transportation, and power infrastructure projects in Washington State and the Pacific Northwest.
  • Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
  • Preference will be given to local candidates
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate environmental science, biology, environmental Engineering or related program
  • Attention to detail
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
