Job summary

EnviroScience, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Inspector I to perform field inspections across industrial, commercial, construction and residential sites in Ohio.

You will assess air and water quality, hazardous waste handling, and compliance with environmental permits, while communicating findings and recommendations to onsite personnel.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Experience: None, entry-level.
  • Knowledge of Ohio EPA Construction General Permit (OHC00006).
  • Knowledge of stormwater runoff practices preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field inspections of sites to ensure environmental compliance.
  • Inspect facilities for air and water quality, hazardous waste management, and other standards.
  • Monitor construction projects for permit and mitigation plan compliance.
  • Collect and analyze environmental samples (soil, water, air, biological).
  • Prepare inspection reports with findings, recommendations and corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed records and photographs of inspections and monitoring activities.
  • Provide guidance on environmental requirements to businesses and developers.
  • Coordinate with engineers, scientists and planners to develop mitigation strategies.
