About The Opportunity

SWCA is seeking a dependable and motivated Environmental Compliance Manager (ECM) (HR Title = Environmental Inspection Coordinator) to work remotely full-time and paid on an hourly basis. Work hours will range from 40 to 60 hours per week. This position will be responsible for preconstruction and construction environmental compliance coordination for a large scale energy infrastructure project near Las Vegas, Nevada.

This position will be responsible for preconstruction and construction environmental compliance coordination for a large scale energy infrastructure project near Las Vegas, Nevada.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Demonstrates strong technical and regulatory knowledge related to environmental resources management and construction procedures for multi-discipline projects
  • Leads compliance projects/tasks from start to finish, with guidance (PM for medium projects or Task Lead for large projects); serves as most senior SWCA representative in the field
  • Assigns and communicate technical needs and project tasks to project team members
  • Manages workflow, data flow, and scheduling
  • Communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing with SWCA staff, clients, contractors, sub-contractors, and government agencies including Bureau of Land Management (BLM), United States Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), and Neveda Department of Environmental Protection (NDEP)
  • Records, reviews and tracks deviation requests
  • Oversees and performs QA/QC, organization, and tracking to ensure project requirements are met
  • Manages quality and completeness of data collection and report completion from start to finish
  • Performs mid-level technical peer review of documents
  • Adeptly interfaces with clients and agencies related to specific tasks to ensure needs and objectives are met; serves as a point of contact in the field for client PM, contractor superintendent, regulatory agency personnel, and third-party inspectors
  • Represents SWCA at client and agency meetings in the field
  • Contributes to technical standards for sub-region
  • Prepares and ensures implementation of the safety plan

Experience And Qualifications For Success

  • B.S. degree in environmental sciences or related field
  • 7 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in overseeing construction activities for large scale energy infrastructure projects
  • Ability to walk and carry equipment for long distances in the field in varied terrain
  • Must have valid driver's license and able to meet SWCA’s driver requirements
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods to project sites

An employee for this Las Vegas, NV -based position can expect a salary of $77,875.20 - $99,507.20 annually with certain client project contracts offering a temporary premium rate of $114,400 - $135,200 annually . Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
