Job summary

UNC Health in Raleigh is seeking a full-time Hospital Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary, and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role reports to Rex Environmental Services and involves cleaning all hospital areas per standard procedures; there is no direct patient care.

The position offers an evening schedule, onsite work, and a pay range of $18.00–$24.66 per hour with experience-based hiring.

• Cleans occupied patient rooms (dusts, disinfects, mops, restocks, pulls trash and inspects).
• Cleans discharge rooms for incoming patients in a timely manner.
• Cleans support and critical care areas (nurses stations, lounges, ICUs, isolation rooms).
• Enters data into the bed tracking system.
• Inspects ancillary and patient areas and projects.
• May lead a team by planning tasks, coordinating assignments, training staff, and inspecting areas.
• Strip, wax, dust mop and damp mop floors; vacuum, bonnet and extract carpets.
• Trains and instructs new housekeepers on hospital policies and procedures.
