Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this full-time position will be to protect public health through the enforcement of applicable laws and regulations concerning individual wells, on-site wastewater disposal systems, subdivision of land, nuisance control, and air quality.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Determined by the Maryland Board of Environmental Health Specialists under the licensing requirements for Environmental Health Specialists.
  • Experience: None.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • At the time of hire, candidates must possess a certificate of eligibility to be licensed as an Environmental Health Specialist from the Maryland Board of Environmental Health Specialists.
  • Employees may be assigned duties requiring operation of a motor vehicle and must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license in Maryland.
SELECTION PROCESS

Applicants meeting the minimum (and selective) qualifications will be evaluated based on their education, training, and experience. Complete and accurate application details are essential.
