Job summary

Fastenal is hiring a Full-time Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability Assistant Manager at our PA distribution center. You will support the EHS&S program, manage data entry, training, reporting, and safety audits to ensure compliance and safe operations.

The role involves leading teams, coordinating schedules, and implementing safety policies across the facility while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations. You’ll operate in a dynamic, safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00am - 5:00pm

OVERVIEW:

Working as Full-time Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability Asst Mgr, you will assist in managing the Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability department. This department is responsible for researching and administering governmental regulations, performing general paperwork such as data entry and filing, assisting with administrative reporting, conducting trainings and monitoring the safety related functions within the region. You will motivate and provide leadership to team members to ensure day-to-day operations are completed safely, accurately, efficiently and on time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• o Motivating and leading team members
• o Coordinating employees, including scheduling, hiring and exiting
• o Ensuring day-to-day operations are completed
• o Communicating with employees and branches
• o Ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, and local environmental health and safety regulations

• o Assisting with developing and implementing emergency action plans and other safety procedures and policies within the facility

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• o 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
• o Possess relevant work experience
• o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
• o Proficient written and oral communication skills
• o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
• o Demonstrate familiarity with occupational safety and general industry regulations or standards
• o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• o Lead and motivate a team of employees
