About the job…

The QHSE Engineer supports maintaining and developing Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment management systems according to relevant standards. The role involves assessing and ensuring compliance with QHSE legislation, corporate policies, directives, and standards.

This is an onsite position located in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinate ISO14001/ISO14064/ISO14067/ISO50001 implementation at the BHE Richmond factory.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives with the local organization to meet corporate and BFB sustainability targets.
  • Contribute to developing QHSE and sustainability management systems, focusing on audits, KPIs, training, SOPs, and improvement projects.
  • Coordinate QHSE and quality customer requests.
  • Serve as the reference person for Framework at BHE Richmond.
  • Oversee document control activities to ensure compliance and quality during manufacturing.
  • Perform process and internal audits of the Quality Management System and monitor effectiveness.
  • Ensure daily compliance with ASME requirements regarding documentation, load, certificates, etc.
What you know:
  • Engineering or Science background (e.g., Environmental, Industrial, Mechanical).
  • Certification or knowledge of ISO14001/ISO14062/ISO14067/ISO50001 standards.
  • Preferably Six Sigma experience at any belt level with knowledge of quality tools.
  • Relevant experience in an international or complex organization.
  • Approximately 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
