Position Details
  • Title: EHS Specialist - III
  • Location: West Point, PA (Hybrid: 2-3 days onsite)
  • Duration: 5 months with extension possibility
  • Schedule: 30 hours/week; mix of onsite assessments and off-site data/report compilation
Qualifications
  • BA in Engineering, Science, or related field
  • Certification as a Professional Ergonomist (preferred)
  • Experience: 8-12 years
Role Overview

An Ergonomist studies and designs systems, equipment, and workplaces to optimize human well-being, performance, comfort, and safety.

Work Environment & Responsibilities
  • Will wear PPE such as GMP clothing, safety glasses, shoes, lab coat as needed.
  • Will visit non-office environments for assessments.
  • Conduct ergonomic evaluations using tools like digital video, measures, surveys.
  • Identify ergonomic risk factors, root causes, and develop recommendations to reduce risks.
  • Utilize Velocity EHS software for ergonomic assessments.
  • Provide ergonomic risk mapping for visual risk identification.
  • Perform Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) to measure job demands.
  • Create Functional Job Descriptions (FJD) based on PDA data.
