Job summary

ROIS is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our Phoenix, AZ team. This on-site role supports EHS programs, conducts risk assessments, delivers training, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

Expect a Monday–Friday schedule 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with occasional off-shift support for audits, incidents, and emergencies. The candidate will help maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems, conduct inspections, investigate incidents, and track

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a related field with 1–3 years EHS exp, OR high school with 5–8 years EHS exp.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Self-starter with proactive, can-do attitude.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS management systems.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures.

• Lead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Assist with emergency preparedness, drills, and response activities.
• Track, analyze, and report EHS metrics and compliance data.
• Participate in facility, equipment, and process improvement projects.

Requirements
