Job description

Join a team of professionals

where you will be responsible for advocating for the safety of all TURBOCAM employees, guests, and contractors by ensuring that a self-sustaining and self-correcting system is in place to control risks. Through training, relationships, and follow-through, he/she will be expected to foster a positive safety culture where policies and programs are based on data and participatory decision-making.

Supervisor Specific Responsibilities:
  1. Consciously create and maintain a workplace culture that is consistent with our Mission and values.
  2. Delegate responsibility while providing clear expectations, consistent accountability, and regular feedback.
  3. Lead, mentor, and develop employees to meet expectations by growing in character and competence.
  4. Utilize available resources to enable employees to plan and achieve their developmental goals while contributing to TURBOCAM's success.
  5. Manage people, resources, and budgets to achieve objectives.
  6. Understand, promote, and implement all program initiatives including Safety, Quality, and Performance Management.

  1. Empowering safety teams and program champions to implement safety principles and policies.
  2. Coaching managers, supervisors, and safety personnel using available resources.
  3. Analyzing data to improve programs, eliminate risks, and achieve operational excellence.
  4. Setting developmental priorities in consultation with leadership.
  5. Coordinating responses to injuries and incidents to maximize learning.
  6. Reviewing incidents annually to reduce risks.
  7. Promoting communication across business units for safety sharing.
  8. Building relationships with international safety personnel to foster a safety culture.
  9. Nurturing a culture that responds positively to non-conforming behaviors.
  10. Overseeing overall safety program effectiveness and supervising safety staff.
  11. Assisting in property protection efforts.
  12. Maintaining approachability for safety concerns and taking urgent actions when needed.
  13. Performing other duties as necessary.
Bring Your Expertise:
  1. High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's in safety or related field, or 5 years safety leadership experience.
  2. Proven leadership and change management skills.
  3. Understanding of risk mitigation.
  4. Excellent communication skills.
  5. Ability to train at all employee levels.
  6. Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; MS Project experience preferred.
  8. Ability to maintain relationships with insurance, consultants, and officials.
  9. Experience with JSA and FMEA reviews.
  10. First aid and CPR certification.
  11. Valid driver's license.
  12. Ability to lift 25 pounds and perform physical activities related to the role.
