Job description

Job Title: Environmental Health & Safety Engineer

Location: Multiple Locations

Job Type: Full-time salary position

Travel: Up to 95%

Salary Range: $80,000 - $102,000. Medical & Dental Benefits. Life & Disability Benefits, 401(k), Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays.

Duties/Responsibilities/Physical Requirements:
  • Conduct general Health & Safety training for each new hire
  • Complete Project Start Safety Surveys and site-specific safety & health plans for projects
  • Review all safety plans with project supervisors prior to commencement of work
  • Administer and enforce Brandenburg's environmental, health & safety programs, policies, and procedures
  • Conduct safety inspections; responsible for data reporting involving inspections
  • Perform on-site environmental sampling and assessments as required; maintain instrumentation, complete reports, and train employees
  • Coordinate with onsite supervisors to conduct accident or injury investigations; review incidents with operations managers
  • Perform all work in accordance with Brandenburg's environmental and safety policies
Essential Job Functions:
  • Perform safety-sensitive tasks
  • Work with hazardous materials
  • Work productively in various weather conditions
  • Exhibit agility, bodily coordination & dexterity
  • Walk and work on uneven surfaces
  • Occasionally climb stairs and ladders
  • Maintain blood lead level below 25 micrograms/deciliter
Education / Experience:

Bachelor degree in EHS, IH, or related discipline preferred

Job Specific Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Minimum 5 years field experience working outdoors
  • Experience in Demolition industry preferred
  • Strong computer skills and adaptability to a fast-paced environment
