Job Description

The EHS Specialist will coordinate, implement, and maintain Rockwell Automation's Environmental, Health, and Safety Programs at our Milwaukee, WI location. You will collaborate with various teams including manufacturing, research, and business operations to meet internal needs. Responsibilities include managing contractor safety paperwork, serving as site co-lead for EHS directives, supporting emergency response, sustainability initiatives, regulatory compliance, and EHS projects involving outside contractors. You will support facility leaders in planning safety-compliant projects, investigating incidents, and ensuring safety practices across operations. This onsite role reports to the EHS Manager.

Your Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain EHS programs to ensure legal and company compliance.
  • Assist with government inspections and understand applicable regulations.
  • Partner with administrative teams to support safety tasks.
  • Implement EHS procedures and ensure accountability.
  • Provide technical support on environmental and safety issues.
  • Facilitate employee EHS training and maintain training records.
  • Maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills.
  • Report injury/illness metrics, investigate incidents, and analyze data to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Ensure provision of PPE, safety assessments, and compliance with electrical safety standards.
  • Perform ergonomic assessments and work with fire safety personnel.
  • Conduct internal EHS audits and support environmental data reporting.
  • Support EHS elements of the Rockwell Production System and ISO 14001 certification.
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required, including emergency call-ins.
The Essentials - You Will Have
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
The Preferred - You Might Also Have
  • 5+ years of EHS experience
  • Certifications such as CSP, CIH, REM
  • Experience with SAP
  • Knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, EPA, DOT, and local regulations
  • Strong communication and team skills
  • Degree in Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or related fields
